But with JavaScript, a Web page really can react to what you're doing: Images can swap when you move a mouse over them, form elements can influence each other on the fly, and calculations can be made without having to resort to a CGI script.

This course is an introduction to JavaScript. Some of the topics that will be discussed include: the relationship between JavaScript and HTML tags, why use JavaScript, and the difference between JavaScript and VBScript. You will also learn about variables, literals, expressions, conditionals, functions, objects, properties, and methods. Other topics include saving, testing, working with the system date, calling a JavaScript function, and writing user-defined functions.

This is an intermediate JavaScript course. Creating a form textbox to display a scrolling message will be introduced along with "If" statements, for and while loops, extracting decimal amounts, returning a formatted value, creating an image object, the switch statement, and added event handlers.
